This "BC Day", Take Action For Grizzly Bears!

Destination BC, the provincial government’s official tourism branch, markets British Columbia as a “Super, Natural” tourist destination. While there is much that is “super” and “natural” about BC, the province’s grizzly bear trophy hunt is neither.

This "BC day", stop by the Vancouver Art Gallery between 11am-1pm to join us in calling for an end to the province’s grizzly bear trophy hunt by taking part in the following action:

- Use the provincial government’s #explorebcday social media campaign to call for a ban on the trophy hunt: Take a photo at our Insta-meet and post it to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, using the hashtag #explorebcday, along with our #trophyfreebc campaign hashtag.

Can’t make it? You can still participate from wherever you are in the world:

Post a photo from wherever you are (or use one of the template pics provided on this event page) to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, using the hashtag #explorebcday, along with our #trophyfreebc campaign hashtag.

Additional actions:

Write your MLA - A provincial election set for May 2017 is fast approaching. Call on your MLA to publicly oppose the grizzly trophy hunt and to move to introduce a province-wide ban in advance of the election.

Write Premier Christy Clark (PREMIER@gov.bc.ca) - Call on the Premier to introduce a province-wide ban on the grizzly trophy hunt. Tell her you want to live in/visit a trophy-free British Columbia.
